The pin side helps remove the loose hair and tangles while the bristle side removes debris and looses hair and also redistributes the natural oils to help give your pets fur a healthy shine.

A lot of the time these deshedding kits tend to hurt my pets by pulling their hair well this one doesnt pull there hair. The rake my dogs love because it scratches there skin just the right way while removing the fur genitally. The Slicker brush my cats love because they can just lay there and enjoy their loss hair being removed. I love brushing my pets but they tend to fight me I didnt have a problem with them when I used this kit. It only has one handle but the brushes are easy to change out because it has a simple button you press to switch them out and then you pull the head off and replace it. I like that the slicker brush it easy to remove the hair from because it has a button that raises a platform that pushes the hair to the top of the brush. I love this kit and I believe you and your pets will to. The only thing I would change is that I would get it a squishy handle so that it is easy to hold on to for a longer brushing.
