The claw on part that holds your phone easily adjust to the size that you need to fit your phone tightly in place. It does not have a spring but the claw will close tightly you just have to adjust it . So I feel like my phone is pretty safely placed. It will stick to your car dashboard easy because it has a suction cup to it all you do is pull down the lever on the base sit it down on the spot you want it to be at and the close the lever and your ready to do. you can use this over and over again so dont be afraid to move it around it will stick to any glass surface as well ass a flat surface. Something else i love about it is that the claw can rotate 360 degrees so you can turn your phone in any direction that you need. over all I can say this is a heavy duty phone holder that can be used as much as you need and safely. I'm 100% happy with it and I wouldnt change a thing on it because springs break and sticky glues come unstuck so this hasnt got either so it will last longer then any other car mount.
