You need 4 AAA  batteries for this to work. It does come with the Batteries but its always good to have some for a back up. It also comes with a nice zipper case to keep the arm cuff in to protect it and keep it safe.The cuff is easy to adjust with out it coming apart and having to put it back through the hole... The cuff is perfect for almost any arm. My favorite thing about this is that the numbers are large enough for anyone to read it.  Some I have used are so hard to read because the screen isnt bright enough or the numbers are small but this is perfect in brightness and size. It does read your blood pressure correctly and accurate. I didnt have any problems with this blood pressure monitor it work just the way it should. If you need a blood pressure monitor I would recommend this one to you.
